Summer's Romance

Goodbye sweet summer.

I will surely miss your warm embrace come December.

The inebriated days we spent faire l' amour

and tepid nights counting shooting stars I'll remember.

When you return from the far side of the world I'll be waiting with eager rejoice,

with renewed vigor, longing to wander in your lush pastures like some fair-haired boy.

All while knowing, full well, that our affair will only last 'til September.

Spellbound

Would that I know the dark secret

which makes me prisoner behind this Keep;

remembering with clouded vision; a sad impression of yesterday.

Every day her voice lingers when I wake.

Its power an abstract rhythm reaching my steel heart.

the color of a night ocean.

Peace shall never come,

as she will always love another man.
